10 Ways to Practice Self-Love

Ain’t no love like self-love. While we’re fans of treating ourselves to celebrate special occasions like Valentine’s Day, birthdays, or reaching goals, the truth is you don’t need an excuse to show yourself some love.

Here are ten things you can do to shower the #1 person in your life (yes, you) with appreciation: 

  1. Buy fresh flowers—extra points if they’re your faves.

  2. Get cute and cook yourself a classy-ass dinner.

  3. Indulge your spirit and senses with aromatherapy. Try diffusing essential oils, lighting a candle, or sparking some incense.

  4. Take yourself out on a date to a place you’ve always wanted to visit.

  5. Get creative! Paint, write, sew—do something that gets you into the flow state. Enjoy the creative process and don’t worry about the outcome.

  6. Connect with your higher-self through a meditation session.

  7. Treat yourself to some fresh air and all of Earth’s natural (and free) wonders by going outside. We love a good picnic or nature walk, chile.

  8. Make a playlist of your favorite songs and dance in the mirror.

  9. Words have power! Gas yourself up with affirmations for at least five minutes, then proceed to walk around like that bitch.

  10. Rest is radical—take a nap, baby girl. (You probably need one right now.)
